A.R.F.
The Dwarfcraft Devices ARF, which stands for Attack, Release, Filter, is a versatile and experimental envelope filter pedal designed to deliver a wide array of synthy textures. Unlike traditional envelope followers that rely on picking dynamics, the ARF utilizes a momentary footswitch or CV gate signal to trigger its internal Attack/Release envelope. This design offers musicians precise control over the duration of swells and drops, with a range that extends from snappy clicks to multi-measure movements. The pedal features an aggressive low-pass filter capable of self-oscillation at high resonance settings. Users can further sculpt their sound using dedicated knobs for Drive, Frequency, Resonance, Depth, Attack, and Release. The integrated drive circuit allows for gritty, overdriven tones, while CV inputs for filter frequency and trigger gate enable seamless integration with modular synthesizers and other CV-compatible gear. Housed in a durable enclosure with unique graphics, the ARF is a powerful tool for creating experimental soundscapes on guitar, bass, or synths.
