Fireball II Dual Overdrive
The Fireball Overdrive 2 is a transparent dual channel overdrive. The first channel allows you to dial in light to medium overdriven sounds, which is great for rhythm work. The "Boost" channel gets you medium to higher gain sounds with lots of sustain and even ordered harmonics. This is great for solo passages and will make your guitar and amp sing. The gain can be individually adjusted for the normal channel and the boost channel. The "comp on/medium/comp off" feature (selectable via a three position toggle switch) selects between non-compressed clean boost, transparent overdrive or compressed, smooth overdrive sounds. The Tone knob is a powerful active presence control that can cut or add higher order harmonics. The Fireball 2 has a number of additional controls that allow you to set up and finetune the basic sound of the pedal: Three switches control the amount of distortion and compression which is produced by the pedal. Another control lets you adjust the bass/treble response of the pedal's distortion engine. The Fireball Overdrive 2 has an active, sweepable mid-boost / mid-cut control. Whether you prefer scooped mids, flat mids, a linear frequency response or a large mid-boost - it can be dialed in seamlessly.
