It achieves this by fusing a high-gain transistor preamp with a reverb effect, allowing users to move seamlessly between subtle sounds and a growling fuzz. A central feature of the Stargazy is its second footswitch, which activates a controllable feedback loop. This loop enables the creation of long-lasting, nearly infinite shimmer or an intense, oscillating wall of noise, making it highly appealing to noise and experimental musicians. Controls include MIX (reverb amount), LOAD (reverb gain, moving from clean to gritty shimmer), MASTER (output volume), GAIN (pre-amp from cleans to fuzz), and TONE (a flexible overdrive-style EQ sweep). Hand-built in the UK with true bypass, this pedal is characterized by a higher noise floor due to its high-gain preamp design.
