This pedal offers a wide range of tones, from clean boosts and subtle grit to heavy distortion. A key feature of the 250-X is its 3-selectable voice modes, accessed via a mini-switch:1. **SILICON:** Provides the iconic 250 sound using symmetrical clipping. 2. **ASYM:** Uses asymmetrical clipping for rich, even-harmonic distortion. 3. **LIFT:** Removes diode clipping entirely, offering a clean boost at moderate settings or a dirty boost at higher levels, pushing the vintage-style LM741 op amp.Housed in a durable aluminum chassis, the pedal features true hard-wire bypass and is designed for modern functionality, including a standard 9V DC power input (with +18V tolerant circuitry).
