Badder Monkey
The DOD Badder Monkey is an evolved overdrive pedal that builds upon the legacy of the original Bad Monkey circuit, offering enhanced versatility and a wider range of gain options. It features three distinct drive circuits—Bad Monkey (the classic sound), Badder (higher-gain), and Behaved (lower-gain clean boost)—which can be blended using the patented 360-degree Barrel Control. This control allows for hundreds of unique mixture combinations, including a "Troop" mode that blends all three circuits in parallel. Often compared to the tones of a Klon-style drive, the Badder Monkey is capable of shaping everything from transparent boost and tight mid-gain punch to aggressive, gritty saturation, making it suitable for genres ranging from blues to metal. It also includes "Grunt" (Low) and "Screech" (Mid-High) EQ controls for tone shaping and a phase invert function for further tonal variety when blending circuits.
