DR. DISTORTO
The Line 6 Dr. Distorto is a versatile distortion pedal from the innovative ToneCore series, manufactured between 2006 and 2010. It is distinguished by its unique harmonic feedback circuit, which allows musicians to achieve controlled, synthetic sustain and feedback at any volume. The pedal features a dual-layered control system: the top row manages standard distortion parameters including Level, Drive, and Tone, while the bottom row provides specialized feedback controls for Rise, Fall, and Blend. A dedicated three-way switch allows users to select between Sustainer mode, Octave feedback mode, or turning the feedback effect off entirely. Additionally, it includes a built-in three-setting noise gate (Off, Mild, and Clamp) to ensure high-gain performances remain articulate. Built into a rugged, heavy-duty metal chassis, the Dr. Distorto utilizes a modular design where the effect unit can be swapped with other ToneCore modules, offering significant flexibility for pedalboard configurations.
