Dr.Muff
The Chris Custom Dr. Muff, now known as the Custom Fuzz, is a premium guitar distortion and sustainer pedal inspired by the legendary Pete Cornish G-2. This fuzz replicates the G-2's core circuitry, featuring a four-stage overdriven discrete transistor design with Germanium components to produce warmer harmonics and a rich, epic sound. It utilizes rare, dwindling stock of NOS germanium diodes for an authentic vintage tone. A major inclusion is the Cornish Buffer Preamp, which offers superior RFI rejection and a low-impedance output for long cable runs, while also preventing "Ghost noise" in bypass. However, for those who prefer an uncolored signal, the pedal includes an internal slide switch to disengage the buffer and engage true bypass. Built with quality parts, it provides classic Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls in a durable, pedalboard-friendly format.
