Slowdriver FuzzDistortion
The Emmergy FX Slowdriver FuzzDistortion (Rat-Bender II) is a high-gain, 4-transistor effects pedal celebrated for generating aggressive, textured tones ideal for the shoegaze genre. Marketed as a "Shoegaze distortion pedal," its circuit is inspired by classic distortion designs but includes a versatile filter section derived directly from the original Pro Co Rat circuit. This pedal offers a wide sonic palette, capable of moving from mild overdrive to a full-out fuzzy assault. Key external controls include Volume, Pregain (input gain), Gain (transistor gain), and the flexible Filter. This combination allows players to sculpt thick, juicy guitar sounds with real analog warmth and sustain. The pedal gained recognition after being used by Christian Savill of the band Slowdive, the group which inspired the pedal's name. It is designed as a definitive, boutique distortion tool for powerful, aggressive tones.
