The Fairfield Circuitry 20% More Slew Limiting Distortion is a unique distortion and fuzz effect pedal based on a slew limiter circuit. This circuit smoothes out how quickly the incoming voltage can change, acting as a steep, somewhat distorted low-pass filter to generate unconventional tones that move beyond typical distortion. Designed for sonic experimentation, the pedal includes key tone-shaping controls. The "Slew" control, along with a CV input, affects the cutoff frequency and saturation of a pseudo-filter. The "Feed" control allows the pedal to resonate, adding high harmonics to the sound. Additionally, a "Blend" control mixes in a square-wave copy of the signal and sub-octaves, while the Low Pass Gate (LPG) helps tame high frequencies.
