The Flattley Pedals Outlaw is a dual-function effects pedal combining a Plexi-style overdrive circuit with Flattley's Ace Tone clean booster, allowing musicians to utilize two distinct effects in one unit. A key feature is the toggle switch, which lets the user change the internal lead order: the clean boost can be placed before the Plexi overdrive to push the drive harder, or the Plexi drive can be placed first. The transistor-based boost channel offers a clean lift, extra sparkle, or a thick bass-heavy push, and includes a wide-ranging tone stack for shaping bass and treble. The overdrive circuit delivers classic Plexi tones. The pedal is hand-wired in the UK with true bypass circuitry, custom etched aluminum control knobs, and a red halo light ring.
