The Rick Gram Studios Franken Tone (TZ-2) is a rare, boutique fuzz pedal handcrafted in the United States, known for its aggressive sonic character and striking visual design. It delivers a highly compressed, vintage-style fuzz enriched by prominent high-octave overtones and harmonic blooms. A signature technical feature is its unique decay, which incorporates a subtle tremolo effect that becomes more pronounced as a note fades, mimicking the sound of a tube amplifier being powered down while active. The pedal features a simple two-knob interface consisting of Level and Fuzz controls. The Fuzz knob is particularly versatile, allowing for significant tonal variance and adjusting the intensity of the generated octave-up effects.
