HTT Distortion
The K-ON! HTT Distortion is a rare, limited-edition guitar effects pedal released in 2012 by Kurosawa Musical Instruments to commemorate the popular anime series K-ON!. Known as an early example of "Itasha-style" gear, the pedal features vibrant artwork of the five main characters and the Houkago Tea Time (HTT) band logo on a compact, black MXR-style enclosure. Technically, the pedal is an analog distortion unit widely believed to be based on the JOYO Ultimate Drive circuit, which itself is a clone of the famous Fulltone OCD. It features standard controls for Level, Tone, and Gain, along with a two-way mode toggle switch for selectable clipping styles. This allows it to deliver a powerful, dynamic range of tones from creamy overdrive to thick, high-gain distortion. Manufactured in Japan, it has become a highly sought-after collector's item for both anime enthusiasts and guitarists seeking its versatile, high-quality sonic performance.
