Killmister 2025
The Rodenberg KILLMISTER 2025 is a dynamic, dual-mode kill switch effect pedal engineered for precise, live-performance sound manipulation. Transforming the traditional momentary kill switch, the 2025 version introduces an infinitely variable auto-kill mode. At its core, the pedal performs a "hard kill" by switching the signal to ground via a special mechanical relay, ensuring sharp, clean signal cuts unlike a soft tremolo effect. Operation is controlled by a rugged rotary knob: at position '0', it works in classic manual mode, muting the signal only while the footswitch is held down for sharp cuts and rhythmic accents. Turning the knob activates the stepless auto-kill mode, which automatically mutes the signal at regular intervals. This rate can be adjusted from slow, subtle pulses to a fast, machine-gun-like effect at approximately 100 ms, perfect for glitch patterns and aggressive signal slicing. The German-made pedal features True Bypass and a compact enclosure, designed for robustness and creativity across guitars, basses, synths, and samplers.
