The Mad Professor Loud 'N' Proud is a boutique "amp-in-a-box" pedal designed to replicate the complete signal path of a vintage four-input Marshall amplifier. Handcrafted in Finland, it is engineered to behave like a real tube amp by simulating the preamp, power amp stage, phase inverter, push-pull section, and output transformer. This internal structure allows the pedal to respond dynamically to a player's touch and guitar volume, delivering the iconic "Plexi" and "JTM45" tones characteristic of late 1960s and early 1970s rock. The pedal features a dual-switch design with an independent, switchable boost or fuzz circuit that precedes the overdrive section. The pre-boost provides up to 13dB of gain with a midrange emphasis, while the germanium-voiced fuzz delivers thick, vintage saturation. Key controls include a three-band EQ, Presence, and a Character toggle that switches between a tighter, compressed bass response and a looser, more dynamic feel. Housed in a durable enclosure, it is a versatile tool for achieving classic British rock tones.
