Bedlum Overdrive
The LPD Pedals Bedlum Overdrive is a scaled analog recreation designed to capture the distinct tone and feel of a legendary D-style amp, specifically referencing amp #102 used by Robben Ford on the "Talk To Your Daughter" album and tour. This Dumble-style overdrive is renowned for delivering rich, smooth, and transparent overdrive tones. The pedal features comprehensive controls for precise tonal shaping. The Master knob controls the output level, while the Drive knob adjusts the preamp gain, which follows the internal tone stack. The Tone control offers overall treble shaping, similar to the amp's presence control, and the Mass knob acts as a pre-clipping bass control to determine the thickness of the tone. A key feature is the PAB (preamp boost) switch, which adds extra gain, level, and a distinct EQ curve, making it versatile for both lead boosting and heavier rhythm tones. The Bedlum operates on 9-18 volt DC and uses soft-touch, last state memory true bypass switching.
