VFE Fuzz Duo
The Madbean Pedals VFE Fuzz Duo is a dual-fuzz effects pedal that gives musicians versatile control over their gain structure by allowing them to switch between low-gain germanium (Ge) and high-gain silicon (Si) transistors in the second gain stage, or combine both for unique signature fuzz tones. Based on an original VFE circuit, the Fuzz Duo is known for its extensive tone-shaping controls. The FUZZ knob sets the gain of the second stage, providing heavy saturation that cleans up quickly when the guitar's volume is rolled back. The BIAS control adjusts the voltage and gain structure of the fuzz. Additionally, the pedal features a FILTER control that manages dual EQ filters, offering a bass boost fully counter-clockwise, a treble boost at noon, and a mid boost when cranked. It also includes improved output for tons of volume. The germanium option provides a smoother fuzz tone, while the silicon transistor delivers a tighter, more compressed sound.
