Dig Deep Sub-Harmonic Octaver
The OPFX Dig Deep Sub-Harmonic Octaver is a digital effects pedal designed to add depth and body to an instrument's sound by generating sub-harmonic signals one and two octaves below the dry signal. Marketed as a versatile tool, it is compatible with 6-strings, 7-strings, baritone, semi-acoustic, and acoustic guitars, often used to simulate the presence of a bass guitar. Key features, particularly on the MK3 version, include independent controls for the Dry signal level, Sub Mix, -1 Octave, and -2 Octave levels. Tone shaping is managed through Low Pass and High Pass filters to reduce unwanted noise and sculpt the sub signal. Modern iterations may include a "Wave" button to select different sub waveforms and a "Split" function to send the dry and sub signals to separate outputs. The pedal operates on 9V DC and typically features true bypass. Tracking is generally excellent, though very low tunings with thick gauge strings may cause some issues.
