The Pachyderm Pedals Pandemic Pedal #100 is a hand-built, high-gain fuzz/distortion unit that is part of the builder's "Pandemic Pedal Collection." It is a clone of the EarthQuaker Devices (EQD) Life Pedal, which is itself an aggressively modified variant of the classic Pro Co Rat circuit. This pedal is engineered to deliver raw, potent distortion and provides extensive tone-sculpting options. The control set is highly versatile, featuring knobs for Level, Loudness, Response, Distortion, a Mid control, and a Dark/Reverse Bright switch. A key feature is the 3-way clipping switch, which offers diode options including LED/Germanium, LED, and Asymmetrical Silicon, allowing the user to dial in everything from vintage grit to modern, saturated fuzz. The pedal is finished with a unique, dark aesthetic, including a "rat fetus" graphic, which is an irreverent nod to its Pro Co Rat circuit lineage.
