Zafram Harmonic Overdrive
The Paul Cochrane Zefram Overdrive Pedal is a transparent, harmonic drive designed for musicians seeking superior sound quality and precision. It features a hand-selected op-amp at its core and offers versatile controls for Drive, Tone, and Level. A key element of the Zefram is its active BASS cut control, which can reduce low-end below the 2 o'clock setting or offer a boost of approximately +6dB at 280hz to thicken the tone when set above 2 o'clock. This control comes after the MID control for precise tone shaping. The main clipping circuit ranges from a clean signal to early break-up and into rich overdrive. For reliable operation, the pedal uses an internal voltage converter to run at +/- 9VDC and requires a standard +9VDC center pin negative power supply.
