Harvezi Hazze
The SOMA Laboratory Harvezi Hazze is a versatile and unique waveshaping distortion pedal. At its core is a waveshaper circuit built around a unijunction transistor, lending it an atypical character and flexible timbral range beyond standard overdrive and fuzz. This pedal offers a wide tonal palette, capable of generating a vast universe of highly musical dirty tones and textures. Key controls include "Gain," which affects the amount of distortion in a distorting amplifier model with two selectable voicings, and "Spoil," which sets the threshold level for wavefolding. Further tone shaping is provided through controls like "Spread," "Level," and "Tone," along with several switches for Tone Stack, Bass Boost, Tone Mode, Notch Freq, and High Cut, allowing users to fine-tune the chaotic potential and idiosyncratic sound of this saturator. It is designed to bring an interesting character to any pedalboard.
