The SWAG FACE by Crazy Rock'n'roll Effecter is a boutique, handcrafted fuzz pedal from Japan, meticulously designed to capture the iconic tones of the legendary 1960s Fuzz Face. Built by a single master craftsman who handles everything from circuit design to final painting, this pedal is part of a highly regarded lineup known for uncompromising sound quality. The circuit is a faithful recreation of the original Fuzz Face, utilizing two hand-selected, perfectly matched New Old Stock (NOS) NKT275 germanium transistors. To ensure peak performance, the builder measures over 500 transistors to find ideal pairs. The assembly features 1970s carbon composition resistors and point-to-point wiring to minimize signal loss and maximize a "thick, roaring" vintage sound. A signature feature is the central "Swag" knob, which allows musicians to adjust the bias and response based on ambient temperature or amplifier choice, ensuring the pedal remains musical and versatile in any performance environment. Housed in a premium gold-finished enclosure, it represents a high-end fusion of vintage character and modern reliability.
