The Turd Fuzz
The Dr. No Effects The Turd Fuzz is a unique, boutique guitar pedal designed in collaboration with artist Peter van Elderen, which aims to be the most unconventional pedal on the market. Despite its humorous, irreverent aesthetic, it houses a seriously excellent fuzz effect. The pedal is enclosed in a turd-shaped, soft, spongy foam material, which acts as the footswitch when stepped on. Inside, the handmade circuit utilizes a pair of two NOS transistors to generate a thick, saturated, nasty old-fashioned fuzz tone that is equally effective for both guitar and bass. The pedal cleans up smoothly when rolling back the guitar's volume knob. It features a single internal volume trimpot for fine-tuning and is true bypass. Instead of a traditional LED, a custom-made fly sits on top, with its eyes lighting up to indicate the effect is engaged, adding to its quirky charm. It runs on a standard 9V power supply.
