AudioWorks Phonkify X
The Tsakalis AudioWorks Phonkify X is a versatile multi-effect pedal that combines independent envelope filter, wah, and octave effects, designed for funk, hip-hop, and electronica. Expanding on the original Phonkify, the X version offers advanced control and sonic capabilities. The octave section is highly flexible, allowing users to select between octave-up, octave-down, or a blend of both, enabling the creation of thick, synth-like bass lines or piercing leads. The filter features three distinct modes: Low-Pass, Band-Pass, and Combo-Blend, which can also be used to achieve three types of wah effects by turning the Q control down. An expression pedal input allows for hands-free control over the filter frequency. The Phonkify X is celebrated for its rich, dynamic filter tones and ability to pair well with other gain effects. It features true bypass switching and internal voltage doubling, which provides increased headroom for a clean and dynamic signal.
