The Union Tube & Transistor Tsar Bomba is a professional-grade, boutique fuzz pedal handcrafted in Vancouver, Canada. Heavily inspired by the legendary "Green Russian" Big Muff, it is meticulously engineered to address common issues associated with classic Muff-style circuits, such as getting lost in a band mix. A standout technical achievement is its significantly improved signal-to-noise ratio, being 15dB quieter than a standard Muff while offering 5dB more output volume. The pedal features an original tone circuit design that allows for precise frequency sculpting, ensuring the guitar maintains note definition and clarity even at high gain settings. Internally, it utilizes a 14-pin transistor array IC for consistent performance and a refined response. The Tsar Bomba is available in two versions: the "Deluxe," which includes a wooden box and laser-engraved badge, and the "Bean Counter," a more cost-effective edition with a silkscreened chassis but the same high-quality internal components.
