Gainlord Plexi
The Tubesteader Gainlord is a dual-channel preamp/overdrive pedal inspired by the classic British amps—Plexi and JCM800—that defined hard rock from the late '60s through the '80s. Built with real high-voltage 12AX7 tube circuitry, it delivers the punch, harmonic richness, and touch-sensitive response of a classic amplifier in a compact stompbox format. It features two distinct, footswitchable channels: Channel 1 offers Plexi-style low-to-medium gain crunch, and Channel 2 provides the higher-gain aggression characteristic of a JCM800. Each channel includes its own Volume, Gain, and 3-band EQ controls, along with a Bright switch for adding presence or a subtle gain boost on the high-gain channel. Retailing for $349, the pedal can be used directly into an amplifier, a power amp, or a cab simulator, offering versatile signal routing options for professional use.
