The Walrus Audio 385 MKII Overdrive is a dynamic, responsive, and tube-like drive pedal inspired by the audio section of the vintage Bell and Howell Filmosound 385 projector. It delivers transparent overdrive tones with simple yet effective controls. This MKII version significantly enhances the original with dual functionality, allowing players to toggle instantly between two completely separate sets of Volume and Gain knobs via an A/B switch, effectively storing two distinct drive tones. It also features a new 385+ switch, which aggressively slams the circuit's front end for added high-gain saturation and heavier sounds. Internally, the pedal operates at 18V, helping to capture the interactive and dynamic feel of a true tube amp, making it highly sensitive to picking dynamics. It includes a 2-band global EQ to shape the sound and is priced at $249.99.
