Effects Dobbo Granular Effects
The Butterfly Effects Dobbo Granular FX Pedal is a unique stereo granular effect designed for playful discovery and sonic experimentation. It operates by constantly capturing incoming audio in a five-second buffer, allowing the manipulation and rearrangement of small audio "grains." This pedal transforms sound by stretching, pitching, blurring, or converting audio bits into rhythmic textures and evolving soundscapes. Key features include controls for Rate, which sets the speed at which grains are triggered (with options for synchronized time divisions via tap tempo or MIDI clock), Time (delay time up to five seconds), and Size (grain length from 10ms to one second). Pitch can be set with tape-like repitching. The Dobbo also features a Mix control for blending dry and granular signals, a Space control for stereo panning and reverb, and a Chance control for adding random modulation to various parameters. It supports forward, ping-pong, and reverse grain playback, offering an ecosystem for controlled chaos and immersive sound design.
