Irpin Bee Baa
The Drunk Beaver Irpin Bee Baa is a modernized take on the classic Roland Bee Baa fuzz circuit, featuring enhanced control and high-quality components. Although discontinued, it was celebrated for its versatility and vintage tone. The pedal utilizes select NOS Japanese transistors—a Sanyo 2SD1450 for the boost and two Matsushita 2SD1330s for the fuzz stages—to drive its tone. It includes independent controls for Boost, Sustain (fuzz gain), Tone, and overall Volume. A core feature is the five-function left footswitch, which allows the user to toggle the Fuzz effect on/off independently of the Boost, and to switch between three distinct EQ Modes for the fuzz: Flat (classic Bee Baa sound), Mid Scooped, and a Mixed response. Dual bicolor LEDs indicate the effect status and the selected EQ mode (Red/Blue/Purple). This design provides a wide range of textured, high-quality fuzz and boost tones.
