The Source Audio Encounter Ambient Delay + Reverb is a powerful dual-engine effects pedal designed for creating deep, atmospheric, and otherworldly soundscapes. Building on the architecture of the Collider pedal, the Encounter focuses specifically on ambient tones, offering a masterpack of huge, ethereal sounds. It features 12 onboard effects—six delay and six reverb modes—including brand-new engines like "Hypersphere" reverb and "Kaleidoscope" delay, alongside modernized favorites like Shimmers, Trem Verb, and Noise Tape. The pedal allows users to use both delay and reverb engines in tandem for complex dual effects. Key features include true stereo inputs and outputs, Analog Dry Through, dedicated footswitches for engaging delay and reverb separately (with tap tempo on the delay side), 8 physical presets, and extensive MIDI support for up to 128 presets. It serves as an "ambience machine" for crafting pristine post-rock, intergalactic soundscapes, and intimate lo-fi textures.
