Purple The Dane MKII
The ThorpyFX The Dane MKII Special Edition (Purple) is a dual-circuit effects pedal, created in collaboration with 'Danish Pete,' combining a versatile clean boost and a dynamic overdrive in a compact enclosure. This Purple Edition was a limited 200-unit run released to mark the 1,000th Dane MKII sold. The overdrive circuit offers light-to-medium gain with touch-sensitive dynamics, ranging from light crunch to full saturation, controlled by Level, Gain, and Tone knobs. The boost side is celebrated for being super-clean but features a new "HC" (Heavier Clipping) switch, which adds a Heavy Water-style grit for more aggressive tones. A dedicated "Lows" knob on the boost side helps fatten up brighter pickups. Designed for dynamic players, the boost can run into the drive side for flexible stacking, offering three core tones: sparkling clean boost, pushed amp crunch, and full saturation. The pedal is highly responsive to the guitar's volume control, cleaning up impeccably like a vintage tube amp.
