Allen Hinds / AH Booster
The Xotic AH-Booster, created in collaboration with guitarist Allen Hinds, is a highly versatile overdrive pedal that also functions as a clean boost. It is essentially a modern take on Hinds' favored legacy AC-Comp pedal, specifically engineered to deliver a "tight" yet "smooth" overdriven sound. This pedal is celebrated for its incredible touch-responsiveness and comprehensive tonal shaping options. It features an adjustable +/-15dB Two Band Active EQ, allowing players precise control over treble and presence. A notable feature is the inclusion of three different compression settings to dial in the perfect feel and attack. For increased dynamic range and headroom, the AH-Booster offers flexible power operation, running at either 9VDC or up to 18VDC. It utilizes true bypass switching to ensure signal purity when the effect is disengaged. The AH-Booster was initially released as a limited run of 1,000 units.
